LIVAMED 1

LIVAMED 1 (Pitavastatin Calcium) is a member of the blood cholesterol lowering medication class of statins. Like other statins, it is an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme that catalyses the first step of cholesterol synthesis.

You can take it at any time of the day. However, try to take the tablet at the same time every day, it is recommended to take it in the evening.

To begin with, the normal dose is 1 mg once a day. After a few weeks, you may decide to increase your dose.

The maximum dose in adults is 4 mg per day.

If you have liver problems, you should not take more than 2 mg per day.
